The SCEDI Committee’s primary focus is on creating the XML documents that the book industry will use to transact business over the Internet. SCEDI is also charged with maintaining current EDI standards such as ASC X12 as it relates to our industry. The Committee also aims to create tools and documentation that aids member companies as they move to adopt or upgrade their electronic commerce capabilities.

  This document addresses the unique electronic commerce challenges facing industry professionals as they move to meet the January 1, 2007 ISBN-13 implementation date.
