Jim King is Sr. Vice President and General Manager for Nielsen BookScan. He joined BookScan at its inception in January of 2000. He began his book career in 1976 in Texas as the owner of an independent bookstore in College Stations Texas. He sold the store in the mid-eighties and moved to NY where he worked for several different publishers among them, Facts On File, Abbeville Press and Publications International. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a MA degree.
