Ian Singer is Bowker’s Vice President of Data Services and in this role he is responsible for managing Bowker’s BooksInPrint database and data services operations and overseeing all staff tasked with gathering, loading, analyzing, and producing product data, both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining Bowker, Mr. Singer co-founded a New York City-based information service company, Joint Information, Inc., which created the eComp database – an executive compensation database covering every US publicly-traded company. In 2002, Aon Consulting, a subsidiary of Aon Corp. – a fortune 200 company – acquired the eComp database and until 2006 Mr. Singer served as Vice President, Data Services at Aon where he was responsible for managing Aon’s Compensation Consulting Group’s software and data solutions practice. Mr. Singer received his law degree from the New York Law School, and his undergraduate degree from the George Washington University. Mr. Singer lives in New Providence, NJ with his wife, Aimee, and their two children, where he serves on the Board of Trustees for the local United Way chapter and on the Board of the New Providence Community Service Association.
