Dominique Raccah
Publisher and CEO, Sourcebooks

Dominique Raccah is the founder of Sourcebooks, Inc., an independent trade publishing house.

Formerly employed by Leo Burnett advertising in Chicago, Dominique left the agency 15 years ago to start her own publishing company. Beginning with an initial $17,000 investment from her 401K, Dominique published a single financial book from the upstairs bedroom of her home. By 2000, Sourcebooks was recognized as the fastest-growing publisher in the industry, and was the only publisher on that year's Inc.500 List of fastest-growing companies in America. Dominique's passion for great books is shared by the 60 employees at Sourcebooks' Naperville headquarters, as evidenced by its five New York Times bestsellers.

Born in Paris, France, she earned her bachelor's degrees in psychology, and her master's in quantitative psychology from the University of Illinois. In the past few years, Dominique has received The Blue Chip Enterprise Award, was inducted into the University of Illinois Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame and was recognized as the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Illinois and Northwest Indiana in the consumer products category.
