Explanation of services offered:
Publishers' Assistant (formerly known as Lawrence Information Services) is the developer of business management software for the publishing industry. Our latest offering, "Couplet (TM)" is designed to import and export title and contact data in a variety of formats--including the export of ONIX documents. While Couplet works seemlessly with other Publishers' Assistant products, it is available as a stand-alone product for a one-time fee of $99. Learn more at our web site: www.pubassist.com. Publishers' Assistant software products are published by Upper Access Publishing, Hinesburg, Vermont.

Additional comments:
We have answered the above questionnaire as accurately as possible, but support for several items can not truly be represented by a "yes" or "no". For example, several recommendations within the "Best Practices" document have to do with the format of data within a field. We implement a philosophy in our products that the formatting of information within the database will stay true to the preferences of the publisher. Therefore, you get out what you put in. Thus, the responsibility for the final format of elements in the ONIX document lies with the user. Publishers' Assistant is committed to supporting ALL the recommendations in the BISG Product Metadata Best Practices document. As those best practices evolve, so will our products.
