BISG Conducts Study on the Consumer Use of the E-Book

"The Book Industry Study Group (BISG), located in New York City, recently conducted the survey "Consumer Attitudes Towards E-Book Reading" with the goal of finding out how consumers really feel and what they really want with regards to e-books. The study, held over a 9-month period, sought to analyze today's e-book consumer, why someone acquires an e-book or e-reader, how long consumers have been acquiring e-books, and which e-readers consumers like best. The study also sought to uncover whether consumers where purchasing fewer print books as a result of the e-book surge and what consumers think are the pros and cons of e-books and e-readers. . . ."
