Content Structure Committee
BISG's Content Stucture Committee develops best practices for representing book content, whether destined for print or digital output and delivery.
The Committee will take a practical and useful approach to providing short, easily digestible pieces of information (whether web posts, brief white papers, etc.) that address specific content structuring needs and related issues. A particular effort will be made to involve or collaborate with other organizations working on related guidelines, such as EDItEUR, IDPF and NISO.
One of the top priorities for the Committee will be to support and promote adoption of the EPUB 3 standard.

EPUB3 Pilot Working Group
The EPUB3 Pilot Working Group is an ad hoc group of BISG members tapped to consult on a new pilot project from Kaplan Publishing involving EPUB3.The pilot project objectives are:
- Test market sensitivity to price point of enhanced EPUB3 features
- Determine consumer perceived value of EPUB3 enhancements
- Evaluate new EPUB3 technologies from a customer viewpoint
- Prioritize investment in emerging and future EPUB3 technologies
- Document best practices for developing products with these enhancements

- Preliminary Research and Product Iteration (8/16/11 - 12/15/11)
- Set up for launch (12/15/11 - 12/31/11)
- Pre-retail launch with independent distribution (01/01/12 - 01/31/12)
