This FREE PDF document has been commissioned by the Book Industry Study Group (BISG) in the USA and Book Industry Communication (BIC) in the UK.

The Identification of Digital Book Content has two purposes. First, it is intended to stimulate discussion about how digital book content should be identified. Second, it is intended to encourage further work on the development and implementation of identification standards for such content, particularly (but not exclusively) in the book supply chain.
