Category: Supply Chain Lunch & Learn
With sustainability continuing to be a key topic, we're using our May Supply Chain Lunch & Learn to build on the work of Andreas Stobberup (2K/Denmark) and Victor Milligan (Cairnbridge Advisors). These members of BISG's Sustainability Working Group will lead a discussion based on their blog post, Modeling the Compounding Cost of Sustainability in the Book Publishing Industry, to provide clarity on what is financially at stake for publishers and highlight the potential impact of sustainable typesetting to address margin risk.

Andreas and Victor will spend the first 20 minutes of the session providing their perspective on this important issue. After that, we will open the conversation up to comments and questions. If you have a question you'd like us to address, feel free to send it in advance to info@bisg.org. Lunch & Learns are always highly interactive, so you'll have a chance to contribute at the session even if you don't send a question in advance. To allow participants to speak—and not just type questions—these sessions are conducted in a Zoom meeting (rather than webinar) format. Please take a moment to ensure that your microphone is muted until you'd like to contribute. While we encourage you to attend the live session, the conversation will be recorded and shared with registrants after the session takes place.

Andreas Stobberup of 2K/Denmark works with sustainability implementation and supply-chain optimization, with a focus on the publishing industry's supply chain to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and minimize environmental impact.

Victor Milligan is a partner at Cairnbridge Advisors, a consultancy that helps companies minimize the risk and capitalize on the opportunities presented by sustainability. Specifically, Victor helps companies develop risk and financial models to understand what's at stake financially, and to model various levers able to protect or expand margins.
