Sam Dempsey is responsible for B&T’s product metadata, collection development, and standing order services.
Sam participated in the inception of the ONIX standard in 1999 with the AAP and has been an active member of BISG’s Metadata Committee since then. Prior to joining Baker & Taylor, Sam held senior editorial positions at R.R. Bowker and Marquis Who’s Who.
Sam earned an A.M. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. He lives with his wife and two children in Charlotte, N.C.
