AI in Publishing: What the Data Tells Us

Discover how 550+ industry professionals across the U.S. and Canada are using—or avoiding—AI, and what it means for the future of publishing.

This summer, BISG gathered over 550 responses to our industry-wide survey, AI Use Across the North American Book Industry, developed and fielded by BISG’s AI Working Group. The survey was designed to inform the development of best practices and programming to support the book industry in the U.S. and Canada as it navigates this change; now, we’re bringing the results to you.

Join us for a data-driven discussion of how AI is being used—or not—across the North American publishing supply chain. We'll share key findings from the survey, highlight emerging trends, and explore what they mean for the future of our industry. Whether you're actively using AI tools, just beginning to explore their potential, or avoiding them altogether, this session will offer valuable insight into where the industry stands and what’s next.

Who Should Attend:
Publishers, distributors, service providers, retailers, librarians, educators, and anyone interested in the evolving role of AI in the book industry.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how your peers are thinking about and engaging with AI—and what it means for your work.

Deliverables include sharing resources, recommending policies, and hosting webinars. The group seeks broader participation to ensure well-rounded expertise and reduce fragmented discussions across the industry.
