Bring Your Own Book: Carbon Calculator Workshop
The GBA present the Book Carbon Calculator.
On June 30, The Green Book Alliance hosted a webinar to launch the GBA Book Carbon Calculator.
In that demo, presenters shared a follow-along calculation with sample data. In this session, we invite users to bring their own data and move through a live calculation, giving time to ask questions and provide user feedback.
Please create an account for the carbon calculator and come prepared with:
- a book published by your organization
- book specs
- print run
- your organization's Scope 1 and 2 emissions (if not known, you can estimate through building heat, electricity use, and company vehicles. Please try to find this data!)
- what paper is used
- location of paper supplier
- location of printer
- distribution cities
- estimated unsold/returns and disposal methods
Equally, attendees are welcome to follow the session without the above information, but the greatest value will come from having this data to hand.
