CHRIS SAYNOR is responsible for EDItEUR's book publishing standards including ONIX, Thema and EDItX. He joined the organization in late 2016. For the previous eight years, he worked for GiantChair Inc. in Paris as a metadata specialist and project manager, and has been responsible for implementation of the Onixsuite application in many publishing organizations. He is widely known for his work with French industry liaison body CLIL and with BISG committees. Prior to that, he has a 20-year background in bookselling with Waterstones and WHSmith.
ELIZABETH BARTHELD joined Sylvamo in May 2021 as vice president for Global Government Relations. In this role, Bartheld, leads a global team that helps shape policy and legislation to promote the company’s business objectives. As head of Sylvamo’s global government relations, Bartheld builds relationships and directs engagement with policy makers, trade associations, and interest groups in the Europe, Latin America and North America.
Previously, Bartheld served as Vice President of Government and Industry Affairs at the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) where she managed the full scope of the association’s advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C., state capitals, and international venues. Prior to joining AF&PA in 2012, Bartheld served as Legislative Director and then Chief of Staff in the office of Congressman John Sullivan (OK-1). She began her career in Washington, D.C. in the office of Congressman Wes Watkins (OK-3), eventually accepting the position of legislative director. Bartheld holds an undergraduate degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas and a master’s degree in business administration from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
