From Ink to Impact: Navigating Trends in Digital Printing and Finishing

A Supply Chain Lunch & Learn

Tuesday, March 4, 2025
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM (EST)
This webinar will be held via Zoom.
Category: Supply Chain Lunch & Learn Series

The printing landscape is evolving rapidly, driven by advancements in digital printing and increased demand for flexible, cost-effective print runs. At the same time, "BookTok" has spurred increased interest in deluxe editions with finishing details such as sprayed edges. Watch this insightful conversation between Joe Upton, Vice President of Business Development at Gasch Printing and Ashley Gordon, Global Publishing Segment Manager, HP PageWide, as they explore how developments in inkjet printing, digital finishing options, and shifting supply chain dynamics are reshaping the book industry.

This webinar is ideal for publishers, production managers, printers, designers, and supply chain professionals looking to understand how digital printing and finishing innovations are reshaping book production, economics, and global distribution.

About Our Presenters

Joe Upton is the Vice President of Business Development at Gasch Printing, an all-digital, full-service book printer in Maryland. He has spent nearly all his professional career in the book industry. He led sales and marketing at Malloy Incorporated for the better part of 20-years before taking on the same role at Above the Treeline, a leading SaaS provider to the book business. Four years after joining Treeline, he joined Gasch in 2020, and returned to the printing side of the industry.

Ashley Gordon is a veteran executive with a track record of successful design and execution of growth strategies that bridge print and digital technologies in the global publishing industry. Her specializations include product and channel development; identification of new markets and partnerships; and direct customer engagement via bespoke educational seminars, webinars, panel facilitation, and broadcast media.

About the Supply Chain Lunch & Learn Series

BISG's Supply Chain Lunch & Learns are always highly interactive, so you'll have a chance to contribute at the session. If you have any specific questions you'd like us to cover in this Lunch & Learn, you may send them in advance to info@bisg.org or simply add them to the chat during the session.

To allow participants to speak—and not just type questions—these sessions are conducted in a Zoom meeting (rather than webinar) format. Please take a moment to ensure that your microphone is muted until you'd like to contribute. While we encourage you to attend the live session, the conversation will be recorded and shared with registrants after the session takes place.

Please log in before you register!

If you don't have a BISG account, please consider making one; kindly avoid registering as a guest. When you register for events while logged in, you'll have future access to all of your event registrations (including your Zoom links) via your BISG Member Compass.
