The Book Industry Study Group Rights Committee invites you to join us at this year’s Frankfurt Book Fair to learn more about the next chapter in a key BISG initiative: the current progress on endorsement and adoption of the Translation Rights Royalty Statement Standard.

Transparent and standardized rights and royalty reporting is vital for efficient rights management in global publishing. The BISG Rights Committee has developed a research-driven royalty statement standard aimed at bringing greater clarity and consistency to the royalty reporting process for translation rights. This standard aims to lower administrative burden, improve data exchange between licensors and licensees, enhance insight, and increase revenue. The fields included in the statement were shaped by global stakeholder guidance and practical feedback.

Industry uptake of consensus-based standards is essential to modernizing rights workflows and supporting both existing and emerging technology solutions in metadata and rights infrastructure.

BISG has received endorsements of the standard from publishing organizations around the world. We continue to engage with rightsholders and licensees globally about how best to use this tool to improve workflows in rights licensing and royalty processing.

If you work in rights, royalties, or publishing operations, join us in Frankfurt to view the standard, ask questions, and get involved. Your voice is essential in making this a standard from which the entire industry can benefit.

Seating is limited, reserve your spot today!
