BISG Welcomes Sheridan as Its Newest Member

Posted By: Liz Bartek Announcements, Member News,

The Book Industry Study Group (BISG) is pleased to welcome Sheridan, a leading provider of printing, publishing services, and workflow solutions for the scholarly, trade, association, and educational publishing markets, as a new member. As BISG continues to expand participation from the manufacturing segment of the book industry—an essential perspective for strengthening supply chain resilience and advancing shared standards—Sheridan’s membership represents an important step in broadening representation across the full publishing ecosystem.

Ashley Gordon, VP of Digital Print Solutions for Sheridan and a member of the BISG Board of Directors, highlighted Sheridan’s long-standing contributions to the industry and the significance of their participation in BISG’s Supply Chain Committee and Sustainability Working Group—two areas where manufacturers play a critical role in shaping practical, forward-looking solutions.

Sheridan’s membership underscores the company’s commitment to supporting industry-wide solutions and best practices. Their involvement is particularly meaningful given the breadth of Sheridan’s work with publishers of all sizes and its reputation for advancing technologies and processes that streamline and enhance book production and distribution.

BISG executive director Brian O’Leary noted, “Discussions within BISG’s Supply Chain committee regularly return to the importance of partnerships between publishers and their manufacturing partners. Better forecasting, improved efficiency, and speed to market are all areas partnerships make a difference. As one of the largest manufacturers in the North American market, Sheridan brings a perspective on these and other opportunities that will make both the industry and BISG stronger.”

BISG looks forward to engaging with Sheridan, pursuing shared goals for a more effective, efficient, and resilient book industry supply chain.
